Leslieville Block Party
September 17, 2026

Evergreen Co-op was proud to sponsor the Leslieville Block Party September 12th, helping celebrate the community and everything that makes small-town Alberta special.

Now in its sixth year, the Leslieville Block Party has certainly grown from its humble beginnings. What started with an estimated 300 people gathering at the Leslieville Community Centre and has grown into an event that welcomed an estimated 1,000+ people this year, with activities taking place throughout the town. It’s a wonderful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together.

Evergreen Co-op was excited to be part of the festivities by sponsoring the face painter, who kept busy throughout the day. Every year brings new and exciting additions to the Block Party. The car show, introduced a few years ago, continues to draw attention with an impressive lineup of vehicles, with The Little Toy Factory now spearheading that portion of the event.

The Zucchini Races, which made their debut in 2025, were back this year with the addition of “Build Your Car” stations thanks to the support of the Ag Society, bringing even more participants and creativity to the race. Activities at the Leslieville Public Works Building also continued to grow, featuring a police boat, Touch-a-Truck activities and first-aid training.

New this year was a dunk tank, which provided plenty of laughs and entertainment, along with a fitness challenge sponsored by On Par Fitness. From little racers to car enthusiasts and families exploring the activities around town, there was something for everyone.

Supporting local communities is an important part of what Evergreen Co-op stands for. Strong communities are built when people come together, support local events and create opportunities to connect.

The Leslieville Block Party is a fantastic example of that community spirit. Evergreen Co-op was honoured to be part of the celebration.

Evergreen Co-op is proud to be more than a business in the communities we serve — we’re part of the community, too.
